Canyonlands National Park is one of the premiere tourist destinations in the State of Utah. Most of nature lovers would venture into a hike out into the vastness of this world famous and the largest national park in Utah. An easier way to visit Canyonlands is by visiting The Island right off the Sky district which is just 32 miles or 51.5 km from Moab, Utah. The Island in Sky can provide amazing panoramic views along its paved roads. The scenery is spectacular as you drive along.

Canyonlands has been blessed with a diversity of flaura and fauna. Its terrain and geographical features are utterly interesting. Bodies of waters such as rivers cut through the vastness of Canyonlands National Park. The Colorado and Green Rivers wind all throughout this national park. The Green Rivers passes on various layers of sandstones and deep canyons.

One of the chief tributary of the Colorado River is the Green River. The watershed for Green River covers Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. It is 730 miles long which begins from the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming and flow right through Utah and Colorado.

The Green River Outlook is one of the most fascinating pinnacles which offer amazing overlook view of the beauty of Canyonlands. Words are not enough to describe the beauty of Mother Nature right at this spot.

Photography is an interesting form of art where the world can be taken in various perspectives. A lot of us are so interested with images that are visually stimulating due to its patterns, bursting colors and amazing texture. The photo is a nice example of texture in photography as well as the ample use of the element of light. The image of a dead tree in contrast to the vibrancy of the Arches utilized the dynamic sunlight.

This resulted to a beautiful textured photo. This image seemed so surreal as it captures the subject with utmost attention to detail. A photo of the beautiful Arches National Park is an example of texture rich photos that are gorgeous as the dead tree seemed isolated yet remained a part of the entire photo.

It is always a good time to spend an adventure photography trip to Arches National Park. This interesting place is situated right at the heart of Moab, Utah. It has peculiar terrain and environment which are perfect for an outdoor photography experience.

The Arches National Park is a world famous U.S. National Park in the eastern part of Utah. It is dubbed for preserving more than 2000 natural sandstone arches which includes the ever famous Delicate Arch. Outdoor photography is definitely a challenging adventure. This photo of the Capitol Reef is definitely beautiful as the elements in the environment are in exquisite harmony. The Panorama Point is one of the most fascinating places for to capture gorgeous snapshots of Mother Nature.

Basically, the Panorama Point is situated in the Southern part of Route 24 in the western section of Utah’s Capitol Reef National Park. This is a perfect spot to get a panoramic view of the scenery around Capitol Reef. A visit to this place would guarantee a wide overview of the Mesozoic aged geographical structures and formations. Just two miles off the western part of the Visitor Center right off Highway lies the way to Panorama Point. Trodding the short and unpaved road will allow an opportunity for an individual to visit Gooeseneck Overlook and Panorama Point.
The Moenkopi Formation (also known as Lower Triassic) is referred to as the lowest visible structure which is horizontally bedded and nonmarine redbeds in Capitol Reef. This geographical structure is made up of hematite packed shales, sandstones and siltstones. The bedding surfaces are also marked with interference ripples. If you try to look around the terrain of Capitol National Park, it is obviously made up of a large number of sandstone surfaces.

The Chinle Formation ( also referred to as the TheUpper Triassic) is composed of purplish to gray and maroon colored shales. The siltstones and sandstones as well as conglomeratic sandstones are also found in this area. The Chinle is a remnant of the ancient floodplains and river networks. When shales right off the Chinle Formation starts to wither, slopes are beginning to appear.

Panorama Point is an outstanding 800 feet high spot tin viewing the beautiful Capitol Reef Park. The amazing light during the afternoons at this area is absolutely perfect for capturing breathtaking images.
