Emptiness of sand dunes

Date: 05/09/2012

Location: Death Valley, California

Death Valley National Park in eastern California is best known for its elegant display of sand dunes. Tourists visit Death Valley National Park to watch the sweeping view of these sand dunes. They spread a whole mile and proceed for three miles in the horizon. Their graceful curves are what define the place as one of the best recreational sceneries. Eureka dune grass defies the dunes and becomes the only plant to stand in their way. Visiting the park when the sand is dry allows one to witness the ‘singing sand’, an astonishing phenomenon when the sand flows over the highest and steepest dune.
